TOWNHOUSE IN IRVINGTON

IRVINGTON, NY

Nestled in the village of Irvington, Westchester County, this three-story townhouse was thoughtfully reimagined to support the evolving needs of a young family. The original layout, while generous in volume, lacked functional cohesion and warmth. Our approach focused on reconfiguring underutilized spaces and introducing a material palette that fosters both comfort and quiet elegance.

The result is a home that feels grounded yet airy—tailored to modern family life while honoring the character of its setting.

A central transformation involved the kitchen, where a previously awkward double-height void was reclaimed to double the usable area. This new heart of the home features custom white oak cabinetry, a sculptural oval island in painted black, and Mont Blanc stone countertops—balancing softness and contrast. Brass edge pulls and subtle detailing lend a tactile richness to the space.

The formerly unfinished basement was converted into a multi-functional lower level, now housing a family room, guest suite, full bath, and laundry area. This expansion allowed the family to grow into the home without altering its footprint.
