INTERIORS & DECOR

IV. INSTALLATION PHASE (Copy)

the design of residential interiors is a highly personal process.

We endeavor to work closely with our clients to bring their visions and sensibilities to life. We offer Interiors Services in conjunction with our architectural projects, or as standalone projects that are comprehensive in nature.

A holistic understanding of budget

It is important to have a clear understanding of budget requirements from the outset, to be sure the project can be fully executed without avoidable delays or frustration. We have developed a budgeting tool that can be extremely helpful early on, to ensure that we deliver design work aligned with your needs.

Clear and thorough communication

Designing residential interiors is an extremely personal and collaborative process. We endeavor to support our clients with whatever they need to make confident decisions, which requires thoughtful direction and feedback. One of the best ways for us to align ourselves with your sensibilities is to provide us with images that are compelling to you. Many of our clients have found Pinterest to be a helpful resource early on. If you need a starting point, we welcome you to visit our Pinterest, where we have a large collection of inspiration images.

Our design process is intended to be flexible and open ended,
where you can engage us for each phase in part or in whole.

I. SCHEMATIC PHASE

The Schematic Phase is the foundation upon which we base the rest of the design. Prior to our first Schematic meeting, we will need scaled floorplans, either provided by you or measured by us for a fee.

During the Schematic Phase, we will:

  • Review inspiration imagery with you, to understand the look and feel that is most compelling to you and appropriate for your home. This will include approaches to balancing color, style, tone, texture, general material palettes.

  • Review measured schematic plan options that illustrate the intended furniture layout.

  • Develop a detailed furnishing list and budget estimate that correspond to schematic plans.

For our projects that also require Architectural Services, the Schematic Design Phases can be combined for a comprehensive experience.

II. SELECTIONS PHASE

The Selections Phase is a series of focused meetings, where we will spend time looking at options for each element to be designed and/or specified by us. These meetings will include:

  • Selecting and sourcing pieces for each item in the Furnishing List.

  • Create collages to visually convey how these elements are working in concert

  • Designs for any custom millwork, finishes, and other built-in elements

At the conclusion of the Selections Phase, we can gather quotes and hand them off to you to implement on your own, or we can proceed to the Procurement Phase, to offer you a full-service experience.

III. PROCUREMENT PHASE

In the Procurement Phase, we will place and manage all orders on your behalf, and will follow up with vendors regarding any delays or errors.

If you are able to accept deliveries during weekdays and would like everything delivered as soon as they are available, we can schedule and coordinate deliveries directly to your residence.

If you are unable to be home to accept individual deliveries, or would like everything delivered at once, we will coordinate with a storage facility to accept, inspect, and store the items until the time comes.

IV. INSTALLATION PHASE

At the conclusion of the project, we can assist you with final placement and installation at your residence. This can include unboxing, furniture assembly, installation of specialty finishes, hanging art or other decorative elements, removal of packaging and/or old furnishings, or anything else needed to fully implement the design.

We will visit your residence for a final styling session with our team, to bring everything together, and tie up any loose ends.
