GARFIELD TOWNHOUSE II

The townhouse was a comprehensive renovation for a young couple who wanted to create their "forever" home. The owners are young professionals: an actress/dancer/singer in a Broadway production, and an attorney; they love to entertain.  From the outset, they wanted a graciously sized primary suite, two or three spare bedrooms for future children, and a parlor floor well-suited to host large gatherings of family and friends.  The ground floor is a separate apartment which is currently rented, which has a separate entrance beneath the front stoop.

The front of the home is a traditional brick townhouse in a historic district in Brooklyn.  The home has a cornice with period detailing, a brownstone stoop, and traditional wood double hung windows.
